Who is my Neighbor? An Interfaith Exploration
Facilitators: Pastor Steve Harms & Rabbi Dan
Both Judaism and Christianity embrace the sacred directive: Love Your Neighbor as Yourself. The question arises: Who is my Neighbor? Why should Jews and Christians care about each other? What does real caring actually mean? Why should we care about people of other faiths? Why should we care for the neighbors and strangers of this world? Why does “the Other” so profoundly impact our identity, our traditions, our scriptures?Join Rabbi Dan and Pastor Steve for a 3 class session (our fourth Joint Congregational Teaching Series) where we will explore the spiritual meaning and significance of Who is My Neighbor?
Day and Time: Mondays, 7:30-9:00 pm
Dates: November 19, 26, and December 3
Free and Open to the Public
Location:
Beth Chaim Congregation
1800 Holbrook Drive
Danville, CA 94506
